But even if you have all the necessary knowledge to successfully perform basic and advanced SEO tasks, it still requires time and a lot of effort.

The basic understanding of SEO concept is I believe crucial for every business now. It’s no longer possible in some cities and regions to compete with other businesses without having some solid SEO plan in action.

SEO Keyword Research

Keywords. When search engines visit your site they scour the page content and meta-information to learn what it’s about. When people use these keywords in their engine, they know to deliver your page as a result. That means it’s important for you to know what words and phrases your market uses on search engines. You can do this through keyword research. Include keywords in your site and page title, in your meta tags (keywords, description), and in the content, help search engines understand what the page is about.

Once your site has great content that your users need, you need to make sure it is optimized properly. Create titles and descriptions for your pages that help compel people to click on your search result listing. Interlink your pages together to provide easy access to more in-depth information. Create graphics and videos to supplement your content and update your pages regularly with new statistics and facts.

SEO Mobile Marketing

Mobile Compatibility is a big issue in these days. Google has championed “mobile friendliness” as an important factor in search rankings, especially on mobile devices. Smartphones and tablets account for an ever-increasing share of Internet usage and represent about half of all Google searches. Having a website that is great-looking and easy-to-navigate on desktop screens is no longer enough. Your site must be equally impressive and responsive when viewed on smaller devices, with sufficiently large text and links that are easy to click.

Optimize Images: Alt Text

It’s essential that you provide alt text for your images – this text provides Google’s crawlers, as well as users with assistive technologies, a definition of your image. Keep your alt text descriptive, but to-the-point.

Meta SEO

A meta description is excellent for following up on the hook of your title tag. It provides users with additional information about your content, such as its purpose and topics. Use your meta description to show that your content fulfills that user’s intent.

Add only relevant markup data

In the hope of improving their Google SEO, many businesses will markup their webpages with data that’s not useful to Google or users. Include only relevant information in your structured data markup – look at the data from your client’s perspective.

Engage with Audience on Social Channels

YouTube is a social website. Content that gets the most engagement performs the best. The obvious thing to do is to tell people to leave a comment, like your videos, and subscribe to your channel. But what works the best is responding to comments. You’ll notice on my videos that I respond to every single comment (or at least I try to).

Provide meaningful and practical non-brand content is a key. A growing area of focus for video is content marketing. Generally this is any video content where you aren’t necessarily talking about brand (directly) or any of the other areas mentioned above and instead concentrating on providing constructive material for your target audience, including how-tos, best practices, thought leadership, and industry trends or news.

Incoming links

These are links to your website from other sites. Social media can be very helpful in this, but also, having other quality sites linking to your content goes a long way to improving your ranking. Search engines will judge you by the company you keep, so your goal is to have quality outgoing and incoming links.

Website usability audits There are some potential flaws that could harm the usability of your website. For instance, having broken links or the fact that the speed of your website diminished over time. The first one can be solved with any decent link checker, however, keep in mind that this isn’t something that can just be done once. A link can be broken at any point, which means that you’ll need to keep repeating this test over and over again. Same goes for the speed.

No budget planning in SEO reminds us of sailing in an inflatable boat without knowing if it’s a lake, a sea, or an ocean. Many people often make the same mistake: they spend $200/month and wait for the results to come. But they underestimate other important options: targeting for less competitive keywords, dealing with on-page faults on their websites, etc. Their positions may somehow grow from the 981st place to 465 or even 114, but people who don’t plan SEO budgets may overlook such progress. They are waiting for their website to hit the Top 10 on Google and to bring in heaps of visitors.

Write content for people, not search engines. Many people make the mistake of thinking that only search engine bots matter for SEO. Actually, you should think of the work you do for bots as basic preparation. You’ve invited people to your party, sent out invitations, and made sure everyone knows the place and time. If you want people to actually show up and enjoy themselves – and get your site higher in the rankings – you need to make content that real visitors enjoy.

Encourage people to get excited about upcoming events. For example, if your brand regularly hosts an industry conference, video can build enthusiasm for the upcoming dates. A similar method can be used if a member of your brand will speak at a particular conference or event, encourage people to come and check out the speaker by highlighting other speeches they have given.

In Google SEO, you’re not only focusing on the search engine – you’re also considering the user. That’s why you want to offer a mobile-friendly website that includes the full functionality of our desktop website, such as the ability to buy a product.

Design. Your website should have a modern design that is focused on providing a great user experience. Make it easy for people to find what they are looking for.

Don’t let your internal search result pages be crawled by Google. Users dislike clicking a search engine result only to land on another search result page on your site.

Complete Product Surveys

Internet is full of companies that are looking for people to complete product surveys. In many cases the product has to be purchased and with the survey the company refunds the amount made and extra for the product survey.
